PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
Learning Assumption To provide a Learner with a Mechanics (Chemical Turning) Qualification a NQF Level 4, which shall enable the Learner to function as a Fully Fledged Turner Artisanr within this Subfield and will enable access to a Mechanic (Chemical Turning) Qualification at NQF Level 5 in the Higher Education and Training band.

  • they conform to the Scope and context of the competency as stipulated in the respective Range statements of the Unit standards within this qualification.
  • they are constructed in such a way that the Assessor assesses the critical outcomes applied ,during the Learners activity performances ,towards achieving an an outcome.

    Assessments are:
  • to include confirmation of the Embedded knowledge component to ensure that the Foundational Competency is achieved
    to be verified by the Internal Verifiers to ensure valid ,credible ,true and fair results. 

  • MODERATION OPTIONS 
    Moderations will be achieved by the ETQA for the Chemical Sector.
    All constituent providers of this Qualification will have to achieve as such from the ETQA
    This accreditation will ensure that the constituent provider adheres to:
  • the criteria and guidelines as per SAQA regulations
  • the quality Management System ,of the awarding body ,for Human Resources Development

    CERTIFICATION

    The awarding body (SETA/ETQA)will issue a certificate of competence for the achievement of competence towards the abovementioned Unit Standards. However ,should the Learner submit this certificate and proof of achieving competence ,in the Numeracy and Literacy Unit Standards at this level, deemed to be the fundamental Unit Standards of this Qualification ,then an application will be submitted to SAQA for recognition and the issuing of a Qualification at this Level.

  • To be subject matter specialists
  • Registered with the awarding body
  • Accredited by the awarding body
  • Accredited by the awarding body after achieving competency against Unit standards of competence for Assessors
