    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    1. The critical workplace hazards related to the installation of pre-stressed elongated support and the risks associated with these hazards are explained according to specified requirements. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Critical workplace hazards must include:
  • Unsafe ground conditions
  • Inadequate support conditions
  • Slippery surfaces
     

  • ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    2. The critical work-related hazards related to the installation of pre-stressed elongated support and the risks associated with these hazards are explained according to specified requirements.

  • Handling heavy material and equipment

    1. The required personal protective equipment is available, fit for purpose, operational and used according to its design and specified requirements.

    2. The required tools, material and equipment are available in the workplace, operational and fit for purpose according to specified requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    3. The area where pre-stressed elongated support is to be installed is examined for critical workplace hazards and these hazards are dealt with according to specified requirements. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Critical workplace hazards must include:
  • Unsafe ground conditions
  • Inadequate support conditions
  • Slippery surfaces
     

  • ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    4. Tools, material and equipment are transported and positioned according to specified requirements in terms of transport method, placement and securing.

    5. Support lines are installed according to specified requirements in terms of support pattern and positions. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 6 
    6. The consequences to safety, health and productivity, if specified requirements are not adhered to whilst preparing to install pre-stressed elongated support are explained.

    1. Elongated support is installed on the indicated positions, perpendicular to the hanging wall and footwall, not point loaded and pre-stressed according to specified requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    2. Tools, material and equipment are used in accordance to design, specified requirements and in line with accepted ergonomic principles. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    3. Critical work-related hazards are dealt with according to specified requirements 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Critical work-related hazards must include:
  • Handling heavy material and equipment
  • Working with pre-stressing equipment
  • Working with a saw
  • Working in confined areas
  • Working in inclined areas
     

  • ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    4. Tools and equipment are cleaned and stored and, those defective, are dealt with according to specified requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 5 
    5. Interpersonal interaction is positive, consistent with specified requirements, promotes effective teamwork and avoids dysfunctional conflict. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 6 
    6. Reports are complete, accurate, in the required format and submitted to the designated personnel on time according to specified requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 7 
    7. Consequences to health, safety and productivity if specified requirements are not adhered to whilst installing pre-stressed elongated support are explained.
