PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Learners who achieve this unit standard will be familiar with the range of delivery options for housing, and understand the implications for themselves of choosing different options.

In order to apply this unit standard, it is assumed that learners are able to read and write to a level appropriate for NQF Level 1.

    UNIT STANDARD ASSESSOR CRITERIA 
  • Given that this standard is at NQF Level 4 and could from part of a learner`s General Education and Training Certificate, some of the assessment evidence must be in a form related to competence in reading and writing at this level.
  • Assessment evidence should be gathered in the real-life application of the outcomes in the housing process where possible (e.g. an explanation of why the learner has chosen a specific delivery option). If this is not feasible in terms of the learner`s own involvement, or his/her availability to the assessor over time, simulations, role-plays, interviews, portfolios and tests can be used.
  • Translation and interpreting services should be used if these are needed.
