The unit standard is aimed at providing the learner with a working knowledge of Building construction methods, technologies and materials.

A person credited with this unit standard will be able to understand and apply the Building Construction process, associated technologies, processes and methods.

This unit standard will contribute to the full development of a professional community of Construction ManagersThe skills, knowledge and understanding demonstrated within this unit standard are essential for social and economic transformation and upliftment within the construction environment.

  • Anyone assessing a learner or moderating the assessment of a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA for The Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, NQF Level 6.
  • Any institution offering learning that will enable the achievement of this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.
