PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A person credited with this unit standard is able to identify and implement test scenarios in accordance with a business process. Learners are also able to evaluate the effectiveness of the test scenarios implemented

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Identifying test scenarios according to Business Process and design requirements
  • Designing and documenting test scenarios
  • Executing testing of scenarios in accordance with client/end-user

    Identify test scenarios according to Business Process and design requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    Business processes and design requirements are analysed and unit-testing scenarios are identified and listed in line with design requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Business processes are analysed and integration-testing scenarios are identified and listed in required format. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    A list of test scenarios is compiled in required format and time frame. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2 
    Design and document test scenarios. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    The required format of the various methods of documenting test scenarios is provided in written form. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Test scenarios are documented according to the chosen templates. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    Test data for each scenario is obtained and recorded in required format. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    The documented test scenarios are presented to the client for verification in required format and time frame. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 3 
    Execute testing of scenarios in accordance with client/end-user.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    The test system readiness is assessed and verified in accordance with organisational systems and procedures. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    The client is assisted in executing the test scenarios in accordance with standards and objectives. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    The results of test scenarios are documented in required format. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    Any non compliance is corrected and re-tested following testing protocol and line with standards and procedures. 


    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
  • An individual wishing to be assessed (including through RPL) against this unit standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant ETQA or an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA or an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
  • Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard or assessing this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA, or an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
