PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is intended for a person who has to fill and close glass or rigid plastic containers.

A person credited with this unit standard is able to:

  • UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
    In the context of this unit standard, filling and closing of glass or rigid plastic containers can include any glass and rigid plastic bottles and jars that are closed by means of a screw top or any other type of sealable closing device. Plastic tubs with lids are included, but plastic sachets and carton containers are excluded.

    This unit standard can also be used in the cosmetics, chemical, fast-moving-consumer-goods and pharmaceutical environment.This unit standard can also be applied in the case where rigid plastic containers are formed by the packaging machine prior to filling and closing.
