    The importance of isolating persons that are suffering from chronic illnesses or viral infections from the processing of Rooibos is explained.

    The occasions when hands require washing and sanitizing are detailed. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    The frequency of washing and sanitizing hands, as per the company's Standard Operating Procedures is explained.

    The circumstances in which personal equipment may contaminate Rooibos are described.

    The preparatory work that must be completed before disinfectants are used is described.

    The reasons why the correct dilution / concentration of disinfectants must be adhered to, are explained.

    The importance of allowing the prescribed contact period for the disinfectants is explained.
