This unit standard is for people operating an electronic fire surveillance facility.

People credited with this unit standard are able to:
  • Locate incidents by applying standard electronic surveillance techniques.
  • Record and report relevant information.
  • Monitor and maintain operations centre and equipment. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Demonstrate knowledge of Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3. 

    UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
    "Facility" refers to a single surveillance unit that may be part of a centre consisting of a number of such facilities.
