PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The qualifying learner assessed as competent against this unit standard will be able to supervise the implementation of a Community Development Programme in their area of operation. This competence contributes towards successful implementation of Community Development Programmes. Achievement of this Unit standard will enhance the learner's ability to perform in the workplace and increase opportunities in the area of Community Development. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
There is no specific learning to be in place. However, this Unit Standard must be attempted in conjunction with the Unit Standards "Apply Community Development Techniques (NQF 5)" and "Demonstrate an understanding of Sociological Issues (NQF 5)".
