PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is intended for people who determine the replenishment requirements relating to stock. Persons credited with this unit standard will be able to operate in a number of contexts and will demonstrate the ability to make comparisons and interpret available information. These persons will further be able to transport stock in a manner that prevents shrinkage and losses and enhances the efficiency of the supply chain.

    Location of providers in terms of travel costs is considered.

    Mark up is determined in order to assess viability of stock prices.

    Stock is loaded in an appropriate sequence and in a manner that protects the stock from damage/spoilage whilst in transit. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    Ways in which shrinkage and losses occur are explained in relation to the process of loading and unloading stock.
