PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Each learner must be able the learner to recognise potential cheat move situations and know the procedures for dealing with suspected cheats. The individual should understand the impact on the organisation should cheat moves not be recognised and reported.

On achievement of this unit standard the learner will understand and be able to:
  • Recognise potential situations for cheat moves.
  • Describe the importance of identifying cheat moves and the impact of cheating on the organization.
  • Identify and prevent cheat moves. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    It is assumed that learners are competent in:
  • Communication at NQF Level 3.
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3.

    Correct approaches are adopted to deal with implicated clients and non-implicated clients to minimise disruption.

    Colleagues and supervisors are consulted on an on-going basis in order to remain abreast of latest cheat and cheat-prevention techniques.

    A supervisor is timeously alerted to potential cheat moves in a discreet and appropriate manner.

    Reporting procedure is consistently adhered to according to company policy and procedure.

  • An individual wishing to be assessed against the unit standard (including through RPL) may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant Education and Training Quality Assurance body (ETQA), or one with an appropriate memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the relevant ETQA.
