PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is about testing rubber products. New rubber products need to be tested in order to meet and comply with company and industry manufacturing standards.

Learners credited with this unit standard are able to:
  • Prepare work area and testing equipment in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Test rubber samples in accordance with product specification.
  • Compile a report on testing process.
  • Store tested products according to organisation's procedures.

    It is assumed that learners are competent in Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 2.
