PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for persons who work in processing centres. Persons
credited with this unit standard will be able to examine and process vouchers, and identify and deal with technical irregularities.

1. The vouchers to be scrutinised are obtained and prepared for scrutiny as required by the bank's procedures. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. All vouchers are examined for completeness as required by the bank. 
ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
Including but not limited to correct preparation, date stamp, authentication and validity.
 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. The appropriate procedure is applied in relation to the value of the voucher and as required by the bank. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
4. The vouchers' compliance with the terms of the Bills of Exchange Act is ensured.

5. The vouchers are annotated and initialled as per the bank's procedures.

3. Crossings and endorsements are checked for compliance with the Bills of Exchange Act.
