PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner who has achieved this unit standard will be competent in:

Identifying, recalling and explaining the basic principles in Agri Trade as well as the relevant safety procedures and work ethics.

To enter a learning programme for this unit standard or to be assessed against this unit standard, the learner is assumed to have:

Basic numeracy, literacy and communication skills at or equivalent to NQF level 1. 

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
The learner is expected to perform the specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard with access to work-site procedures, operating instructions and relevant induction material.

The learner has to comply with basic operational and statutory requirements with regard to handling of hazardous substances and occupational health and safety.
