PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit is a core standard towards a National Certificate in retail/wholesale processes at NQF Level 2.

It is designed to give a sound grounding in the latest proven techniques of handling stock thereby optimising the retailers/wholesalers profitability and creating opportunity for progression to higher levels on the NQF.

Basic mathematical ability to the equivalent of a GETC qualification
