PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The purpose of this Unit Standard is to enable learners to install and use access equipment effectively and safely. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
FETC NQF Level 2 literacy and numeracy competencies. 

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
1. Scaffolds must all be erected in accordance with safety regulations and SABS Code of Practice 085 1988 for scaffolding.

2. Maximum height of scaffolding is 2 meters.
