To produce a good practical nurse who will be skilful in bedside nursing as well as be functional in administering a unit in the absence of supervisor. A nurse competent in leadership skill with regard to health matters in her community/group.

    Done by nursing school by preceptors clinical instructors and tutorial staff.
    Formative and summative are integrated that is practical done nursing school including test. Final examinations will be done by South African nursing council 

  • ARTICULATION OPTIONS 
    Learner can be taken to a diploma level by recognition of prior learning. 

    MODERATION OPTIONS 
    System of second examiners within the institution will be used, together with a system of external examination at exit levels to the qualification, where professional or statutory bodies are involved in determining the curriculum, they will also be involved in moderation. 

    CRITERIA FOR THE REGISTRATION OF ASSESSORS 
    Our own Staff will be used as assessors in manner accommodated within the quality management system of the institution.
    This will apply to outside assessors also that is registered nurses in different hospitals where practicals are done.
