PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit is a core standard of the qualification National Certificate in Retail/Wholesale sales and services, NQF 4. It is designed to transform the quality of merchandising through the development of supervisory skills in retail/wholesale outlets, providing access to higher level management

  • Ranges of merchandise including consumables, perishables, indoor and outdoor appliances, electronic hardware, electronic gadgets, software, compact discs, clothing, toiletries, stationery, novelty items, clothing, textiles, footwear, accessories?

    A range of goals, targets and incentives including comparison of merchandise sales figures against other retail/wholesale branches, national merchandise sales targets for retail/wholesale outlets, sales team incentives, individual salesperson incentives, comparison of sales figures against previous year's merchandise sales figures in retail/wholesale outlets.
