PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The Learner will be capable of:
Conveying abnormal freight by road, according to legislation as well as the guidelines for the granting of exemption permits for the conveyance of abnormal loads. |

What the Learner should know and be able to do, before starting this unit:
i) 'Operate a Vehicle Combination'; ii) 'Convey General Freight'. |

1. Guidelines for the conveyance of abnormal loads as laid down in TRH 11, specifically with regard to: 2. Impact of centre of gravity on the dynamics of the vehicle combination. 3. Impact of the dynamics of the wheel system on the road surface, on the vehicle combination. |
