PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard is intended for persons working in the Labour Relations and associated fields and who have the task of operating the case management process. The person credited with this Unit Standard is able to capture and record processes of cases on the Case Management System, ensuring accurate data integrity. Learner is also able to explain the consequences and meaning of the status of cases reflected on the Case Management System

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Capturing and recording newly referred cases on the Case Management System
  • Processing cases on the Case Management System from "Arrangement" status for Scheduling purposes
  • Accurately recording outcome details of cases heard
  • Accurately closing finalised cases 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    The learner undertaking this Unit Standard must be competent in:
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4
  • Communication at NQF Level 4 or equivalent 

  • UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
  • The Case Management system is the operating data system utilised to manage case processes.
  • Parties to a referral include the applicant/s and respondent/s.

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 1 
    Capture and record newly referred cases on the case management system.

    1. New case numbers are generated, allocated and captured onto the Case Management System.

    2. New referrals are correctly allocated and accurately filed as per organisational policy and procedure.

    3. Details of parties to the dispute are confirmed, verified and captured on the Case Management System.

    4. Detailed case notes indicating the next process for Case Management System Users` reference is recorded as per organisational policy and procedure.
