PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
Learners who are assessed as competent against this Unit Standard will be able to understand and explain labour intensive construction (LIC) documentation, implement LIC systems, implement resource management techniques for LIC projects, and provide on-job training and coaching for team members in LIC methods.
These competencies complement the required generic technical and supervisory competencies and also underpins the other core learning ones. The Unit Standard contributes to the development of a professional community of Civil Engineering Construction Supervisors. The contribution to The National Skills Development Strategy is the key developmental interface between learners and new competencies to be achieved.
