PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner who has achieved this unit standard will be competent in:

Scouting macadamia orchards without supervision to correctly identify pests to ascertain level of pest infestation.

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
The scope of this unit standard deals with the scouting of macadamia orchards to identify the types of pests and the levels of infestation.

The specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard are performed without direct supervision, but with access to standard working procedures and operating instructions.
