PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The purpose of this unit standard is that learners are capable of identifying and reporting deficiencies and contraventions in the road environment to contribute to a safer road environment. Learners who are credited with the unit standard are able to identify, through observation, and report deficiencies and contraventions before serious monetary and human life cost occur.
This unit standard also allows for transformation with the traffic policing profession, as learners become models for other learners. This attracts quality people and allows for the aspirations of people to be part of the traffic policing profession.
