PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The qualifying learner is capable of:

Identifying and describing various aspects of reinforcing documentation and interpreting requirements from reinforcing documentation

Learners who are assessed as competent against this unit standard will be able to work on a construction site and are required to read and interpret reinforcing documentation. In addition to the above learners will be able to identify and describe reinforcing documentation and interpret their requirements.

It contributes to socio-economic transformation in that learners will be able to undergo RPL assessment and receive recognition for previous learning and experience. The employability and career prospects of learners can therefore be enhanced by this unit standard
