PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A person credited with this Unit Standard is able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of trust and how the commitment to a value system plays a part in developing company attitudes; and how these can be implemented to assist with organisational transformation in South African companies.

In particular, on completion of this Unit Standard, the learner is able to:
  • Discuss a particular socio-psychological operating system
  • Provide input on the term "organisational conversation"
  • Develop a transformation framework
  • Integrate the rational, emotional and change management processes
  • Demonstrate relationship between a level of trust and the appropriation of resources in an organisation
  • Assist in building trust
  • Develop processes leading to the adoption of organisational values
  • Relate the learning gained in achieving this Unit Standard to Organisational Transformation and Change Management (OT&CM)

    Implement Socio-Psychological models evident in high-trust, enabling work environments. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    A documented socio-psychological operating system fostering trust is identified and implemented in an organisation. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Feedback from the "organisational conversation" is assimilated and recorded for amendment to the plan. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    An integrated response plan to the issues identified during the "organisational conversation" is drafted and proposed to key stakeholders. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2 
    Implement and integrate the Rational, Emotional and Change Management processes.

    A transformation framework is developed in consultation with key role-players.

    Demonstrate the relationship between a particular level of trust and the resource appropriation in an organisation.

    A report is produced indicating the relationship and utilisation of resources vis a vis high and low trust culture. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    A model demonstrating the impact and relationship between trust and the appropriation of resources is implemented in an organisation. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    An action plan is implemented to improve the levels of trust within an organisation. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 4 
    Develop and implement interventions enabling leadership in a particular situation to build trust.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    A leadership development programme is implemented. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    A matrix is compiled indicating the 5 levels leadership in relation to actual competence. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 5 
    Develop and implement a process or operating system for the clarification and adoption of organisational values. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    A plan to facilitate the implementation of a values operating system is developed. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    A documented analysis of the organisational alignment to the values system, employee satisfaction and systems and processes is effected and the results communicated in a selected organisation. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    A documented analysis and interpretation of the financial implications caused by employee satisfaction or dissatisfaction is conducted and the results distributed. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    A documented plan to develop or identify interventions to remedy any misalignment, thereby enabling the successful delivery of the organisational transformation objective is drafted and proposed. 


    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
    Accreditation for this Unit Standard shall be obtained from the relevant Education and Training Quality Assurance Body, through summative and formative assessment by a registered assessor
  • Assessors must be registered as an Assessor with the relevant ETQA, or with an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
  • Moderators must be registered as assessors with the relevant ETQA, or with an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
  • Training providers must be accredited by the relevant ETQA or with an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.

    Moderation should include both internal and external moderation where applicable.
