A learner who has achieved this unit standard will be competent in:

Maintaining a cigarette packer's exit conveyors to ensure optimum production performance of the units.

    General guide for scope, context and level:

    The learner is expected to perform the specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard with minimal supervision, but with access to work-site procedures and operating instructions.

    The scope of this unit standard deals with the repair and commissioning of a cigarette packer exit conveyors from the drying drum up to the packet reservoir.

    Exit conveyors components include, but are not limited to, conveyors, rollers, bearings, spring guides, pack turning devices and corner drives.
