PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard will be useful for people who manage aspects of credit control in a social housing environment. The unit standard is intended for use in a variety of qualifications that are suitable for senior management, for example, Finance Managers, Property Managers and CEOs. The primary purpose of the unit standard is for senior managers in a social housing institution to have sufficient knowledge of legislation as it relates to credit control that they are able to monitor all credit control activities and ensure that these activities remain compliant with legislative provisions and requirements.

UNIT STANDARD RANGE |
This unit standard applies covers legal issues across the full range of credit control procedures, from letters of warning sent out to defaulting tenants/members through to the final steps of eviction and recovery of costs. The unit standard also covers all types of social hosing institutions, in particular, co-operative housing and rental housing. |
