PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard is intended for persons who conduct administrative functions in the middle and back office in an Asset Management environment.

A person credited with this Unit Standard will be able to:
  • Explain the different systems and the inter-relationships between them.
  • Navigate and operate through relevant systems.
  • Extract and deliver the relevant information in the specified format and delivery mechanism. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    It is assumed that learners are competent in:
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4
  • Communication at NQF Level 4
  • The Unit Standard entitled, "Explain the structure and mechanics of Financial Markets" 

  • UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
    The context of this Unit Standard looks at various types of administration systems used within an asset management environment. The various systems include but are not limited to Middleware, Swift, Faxes, Proprietary banking systems, Recon systems, Price feed systems, Investment Administration System, Investment Reporting Systems, BATS, SAFEX ATS
