PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The skills, values and knowledge reflected in this unit standard are required by people in the field of General Draughting and Design.

This unit standard is for learners entering the field of engineering draughting. Qualifying learners must be able to work as part of a design team and control documentation of a project under the supervision of the team leader. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
It is assumed that learners are already competent in:
