PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for a person who operates demineralised water systems on fossil power plants. A person credited with this unit standard is able to prepare the plant for service and monitor startup conditions, startup of plant, monitor and sustain plant and or equipment operability, stabilise transient conditions, shutdown plant, isolate shutdown plant and maintain regulatory requirements.
