PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit is for people who scale tree lengths into log assortments in a production situation. People credited with this unit are able to:

Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 1 and basic safety in forestry operations. |
UNIT STANDARD RANGE |
Saw logs, veneer logs, transmission poles and telephone poles are excluded from this unit. Log assortments must include pulp and any one of mining timber or other special orders. |
