PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard will be useful to those who intend to conduct internal or external evaluations of education, training and development providers, products and services to meet an established learning need within an organisation.
People credited with this unit standard are capable of: |
LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING |
It is assumed that learners have knowledge and understanding of the contexts of evaluations, and understand the principles, concepts and structures of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and quality management systems (QMS), with particular reference to learning interventions, assessment, moderation and verification. It is also assumed that learners have practical experience of Education, Training and Development. |
UNIT STANDARD RANGE |
This unit standard applies to both internal and external evaluations. While the scope and purpose of internal and external evaluations might differ, the processes used will be essentially the same. Consequently, candidates can achieve credit for this unit standard in the context of either internal and/or external evaluations.
For the purposes of award of this unit standard, the evaluator must demonstrate the ability to carry out evaluations of ETD providers, products and related services to meet a variety of learning needs at different levels and within different contexts in the organisation. |

A plan is developed providing details of the evaluation and enabling the objectives of the evaluation to be met within available resources. |
