PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard is able to demonstrate an understanding of and explain the quality, time and cost parameters of a project. Learners accessing this unit standard will also be able to obtain authorisation for project change requests and maintain confidentiality of project information.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Identifying and explaining the quality, time and cost parameters, and risks of a project.
  • Obtaining and securing authorisation for project change request documents.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of project information. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence in:
  • Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Computer Literacy at NQF Level 2 or equivalent.

    Authorisation is obtained in terms of organisational policy and within agreed time frames.

    Authorised project change requests documents are recorded, distributed, and filed according to requirements.

    Un-obtained authorisations are tracked and processed for finalisation in terms of organisational policy.

    Organisational and legal requirements relating to confidentiality of information are identified and explained within the context of the project.

    Information classified as confidential is recognised as such and is disclosed only in terms of organisational policy.

    Deviations from organisational procedures relating to the confidentiality of information are recognised and reported following established procedures.
