The person credited with this unit standard is able to identify the methods to use when opening safes. Learners are able to identify types of safes, and the specialised safe tools to use when repairing safes.

The qualifying learner is able to:
  • Describe electronic and categorised safes.
  • Apply opening methods on an electronic safe.
  • Apply opening methods on a category safe.
  • Repair an electronic and categorised safe.
  • Explain elements to be taken into account when moving a safe.
