PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This Unit Standard forms part of the qualification National Certificate: Piano Restoration, NQF Level 2. This Standard will equip the learner with the knowledge and skills to dismantle an acoustic piano (Grand piano or Upright piano). The qualifying learner will be able to explain the reasons for the repair or restoration of the acoustic piano. They will enable repairs or tuning to be carried out on a piano by dismantling the identified parts.
