PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
People in the field of manufacturing and engineering require the skills, values and knowledge reflected in this unit standard. The learning outcomes in this unit standard also contribute to the exit level outcomes required for various manufacturing and engineering qualifications. The learner is capable of using the necessary equipment to apply decorative finishes to stipulated surfaces. This will contribute to the exit level outcomes required for the National Certificate in automotive repair and maintenance at NQF Level 4 and related qualifications. |
LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING |
This unit standard has been designed as part of a progression. It is one of a series of unit standards for maintaining vehicles in the field of manufacturing and engineering. It is assumed that the learner has already learned to mix and match paint colours and apply metallic 2 coat paint finishes. |
UNIT STANDARD RANGE |
