| PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
| This unit standard will enable learners to use security equipment in various situations. Learners will be able to understand when and how certain equipment may be used and under which conditions. Learners will also be able to ascertain whether the equipment is in working condition or whether it should be referred to a maintenance team. This unit standard will also enable learners to handle, store and handover security equipment.
