PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
In achieving this unit standard, the learner will display the competency required of a volleyball coach with primary focus on activities that lead to the game of volleyball, in areas where the facilities may need to be adapted.
The coach will be teaching the basic skills of volleyball to beginners of the sport to generate interest and to encourage new entrants to the game. The qualified learner will be able to explain the basic components of volleyball, showing understanding of the principles of the sport and be able to demonstrate the skills needed by beginners to the game of volleyball, utilising standards and/or adapted games.
