PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is intended for people who are required to interpret legislation and policy as it pertains to professional hunting in order to contribute to economic and conservation viability in the operational area.

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING |
It is assumed that the learner is competent in Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3.
It is further assumed that learner attempting this unit standard has been operational as a recreational hunter for a period of two years and has a basic understanding of the Firearms Control Act and other relevant legislation including the Tourism Act, the Road Transport Act, the Veterinary Act and should operate within the framework of the relevant legislation. |
