The purpose of this unit standard is to enable a gaming dispute in a gambling environment to be effectively resolved. The learner should develop an ability to negotiate between the disputing parties in accordance with legislation, regulation, policy and procedure. The sub-field should develop a generic ability to deal with gaming disputes in this environment.

An initial investigation is conducted to ascertain the status of a dispute, the parties involved and the nature of the dispute. |

Any regulation pertaining to the dispute, in terms of the Gaming Act and its amendments, relevant gazetted specifics and industry standards, is identified to aid resolution. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 |
Organisational policy and procedures are followed, while maintaining the rights and dignity of all involved parties. |
