PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for extension to display cultural awareness in dealing with clients and extensionists.

The learner achieving this unit standard in combination with other content-related unit standards will be able to display cultural awareness in dealing with clients and extensionists. Learners will also be able to take steps to resolve differences that arise as a result of cultural diversity.

This unit standard will specifically contribute to the qualitative development of learners by providing skills and knowledge of community dynamics and negotiation skills in the context of decision-making. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Learners accessing this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in communicating verbally and in writing at Level 4 on the NQF or equivalent.
