PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Learners credited with this unit standard will be able to identify and select the best communication method and format to integrate multiple communication plans. Learners will be able to implement and management the communications plans and identify areas that need improvement and take the necessary action towards meeting the meta-plan objectives.

The learner achieving this unit standard will be able to:
  • Integrate and synergise multiple development communication plans within a complex extension and development setting.
  • Coordinate the implementation of a meta-plan integrating multiple development communication plans within a complex extension and development setting to ensure synergy.
  • Evaluate the impact of the meta-plan to integrate and synergise multiple development communication plans within a complex extension and development setting.
  • Maintain and communicate information relevant to the meta-plan to promote cooperation among stakeholders in a complex extension and development setting. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    It is assumed that learners have the following knowledge in place:

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    Two or more development communication plans are assessed in terms of the principles of integration and synergy and in consultation with relevant stakeholders. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Processes and systems are identified and described to develop a meta-plan to integrate the assessed development communication plans. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    A meta-plan including indicators, means of verification, resources required and steps for implementing is proposed to generate synergy among the assessed plans. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    The link to/Integration with broader extension and the implications for implementation of the individual communication plans is clearly articulated to ensure coherence of planning and implementation. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 5 
    The meta-plan is documented graphically and in writing in the required format. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2 
    Coordinate the implementation of a meta-plan integrating multiple development communication plans within a complex extension and development setting
    to ensure synergy.

  • An individual wishing to be assessed, (including through RPL) against this unit standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant ETQA.
