The qualifying learner will be able to demonstrate a technical and musical ability on a musical instrument of his/her own choice in a solo or group context.

Qualifying learners will be capable of:
  • Performing music of a selected style.
  • Performing technical exercises.
  • Demonstrating improvisation skills appropriate to the instrument and style.
  • Demonstrating sight-reading related to the chosen musical instrument.

  • Communication at NQF Level 4 or equivalent.
