PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard provides a broad introduction to the understanding of planning and scheduling workflows. It is the starting point for a learner in this sector the focus is knowledge, skills, values and attitudes in relation to the learner`s own context and experience of the world of work.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Obtaining and evaluating data to facilitate a workflow process.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the planning and scheduling of work processes.
  • Planning and scheduling workflow according to organisational requirements.
  • Monitoring the achievement of the workflow plan. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
  • Learners accessing this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in mathematics and communication at NQF Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Learners accessing this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in the use of computers at Level 3 on the NQF or equivalent.

    The impact of delays is assessed and findings communicated according to agreed communication processes.
