PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The Unit standard is aimed at individuals utilising and maintaining vehicles or a range of vehicles in conservation areas. Learners will be able to handle vehicles safely according to National Traffic Regulations and according to manufacturers' specifications. He/she will be able to carry out a number of basic precautionary checks and carry out elementary repairs and maintenance. By completing this unit standard the qualifying learner will be a safer, more effective driver and the added driving skills will make them more employable in a wide range of applications.
