PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is aimed at individuals involved in the maintaining of road networks through the operating of road maintenance equipment in a nature conservation area. Learners will obtain an understanding of the relevant legislative requirements of road infrastructure maintenance and will be able to maintain road networks in a safe manner to enhance infrastructure in the area of operation.

An overview of the legislation and regulations pertaining to the maintenance of different types of roads in conservation areas is given and the relevant constraints identified. |
