PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard will enable the learner to apply the fundamental principles of Blood Component preparation and distribution, and will provide skills for recognition within a laboratory for upward mobility as well as skills to work in other departments in pathology laboratories. Knowledge and insight gained are essential elements for the quality needed in handling pathology specimens as well as addressing the skills shortage in the country.
