PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard will enable the individual to batch coins and tokens following the correct procedure. The individual will understand the terms batch and rack, as well as the wrap or batch standards for coins and tokens.

In particular, on completion of this unit standard, the learner is able to:
  • Batch coins and tokens.
  • Describe verification procedure.
  • Describe batching procedures.

    It is assumed that learners are competent in:

    The necessity of two parties agreeing on the accuracy of the verification and batch procedures is explained in accordance with company policy.

    The importance of the verification procedure is discussed as it pertains to batching coins and tokens.

    The procedure to be followed when foreign objects are discovered is described when verifying.
