PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The person credited with this unit standard is able to prepare the work area for fault finding and repairing of train describer systems by selecting the correct equipment, tools and manufacturers manuals to ensure testing to take place. Learners will also be able to follow methods and techniques to diagnose faults and withdraw the faulty train describer systems from service. Learners will also be able to repair or replace the faulty components and reassemble and calibrate it ready for service.
Learners will also be able to complete all the administrative procedures required to return the train describer systems back to operational conditions and ensure it is certified. The qualifying learner is capable of: |
