The qualifying learner will understand what ensemble work entails. Furthermore, she/he will be able to create a band image and develop awareness of its existence and performance.

Learner accredited with this Unit Standard will be capable of:
  • Organising rehearsal procedures without supervision.
  • Organising and applying performance technology.
  • Performing selected repertoire.
  • Concluding and presenting a band biography.

    Individual roles of band members are identified according to specified functions. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Songs for repertoire are selected with all role players concerned as required.

    A set list is formulated specifying all set requirements. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Set includes sets for 5 different genres and one original composition.

    Rehearsal times are selected and conducted independent of supervision and according to the agreed schedule.
